Time to Submit - SAQA Regional WA-OR "On the Edge"

Get ready Oregon Region artists to submit your art pieces for the upcoming On the Edge exhibit!  The deadline for submission is January 31, 2019. Size limits are 2D: 24” - 48” w, 114” h and 3D: 18” w, 20” h.

This is a one venue exhibit at the Oregon Historical Society (OHS) from May - August, 2019. OHS is a tourist draw and anticipates at least 25,000 visitors during the run of the show. On the Edge at the Historical Society venue is an exciting opportunity for SAQA Oregon artists to display their work in a museum setting in the heart of Portland’s cultural district. SAQA and OHS will host a reception for On the Edge in conjunction with the OHS community event speaker series on May 23, 2019, with Ann Johnston, renowned artist, as the featured speaker.

Show Concept: What does “ on the edge" bring to mind for you? Is it the physical edges of nature (such as gorges, mountain peaks or shorelines), societal edges formed between different groups or philosophies or a certain personal "edginess" in style or attitude? Oregon Region artists are invited to submit work that reflects thoughts about “on the edge" as related to their Oregon experience in a representational or abstract way.

For more information and to make your submission, please follow this link: http://saqacallforentryedge.com  Questions can be sent to any exhibit committee member.
