Congratulations to Kristin La Flamme and Paulette Landers for having their pieces accepted into the Layered Voices SAQA Exhibition.  Congratulations to Carol Stocking for having her quilt accepted into the H2Oh! SAQA Exhibition.

Thank you to members who submitted work to the SAQA Trunk Show.  Thanks to Mary Goodson and Deb Sorem for their help in hanging and taking down the Blending Poetry & Cloth exhibit in Salem.

An update regarding reporting 2016 volunteer hours for SAQA:  A new system for submitting State of the Region reports is being used this year.  While the new system does not require reporting of SAQA volunteer hours, we are able to include that information.  If you have collected information on your 2016 SAQA volunteer hours, please send that information to Marion and she will include it in our Oregon report.  Your input is requested by January 23rd.

The exhibit closed at Salem’s Willamette Heritage Center in December.  Many enthusiastic comments were recorded by Willamette Heritage Center visitors to the Blending Poetry & Cloth exhibit in the exhibit book.

The next showing of the exhibit will open on April 4th at the Chehalem Cultural Center in Newberg, Oregon. We need 2-3 volunteers for installation of the exhibit at the Chehalem Cultural Center. The date for installation is Monday, March 27th. Please let Leotie Richards know that you are available. The exhibit will require just half a day for installation.
