Kristen Shield Wins at AQS Quiltweek

Kristen Shield's Love in the Digital Age has won first place In the Wall Quilt Modern category at the AQS Quiltweek Chattanooga show.  Shattered Dreams has won second place in the Modern Quilt Category at the Northwest Quilting Expo in Portland.  Smarter Than the Average Bird won honorable mention in the Quilters' Alliance contest We Love Animals and was published in Quilting Arts Oct./Nov. 2015.

 

Dianne Browning Is Bend's Featured Artist

Dianne Browning has been invited to be the featured artist for Bend's First Friday Art Walk on Oct. 2 at Cascade Sotheby's downtown Bend office on Wall Street from 5-8 pm.
She will be showing her new series of art quilts inspired by Antelope Canyon and most everything she has created from the past 7-8 years!  Her art quilts will be on display for the full month of October.
 

Portland Pod Meets September 16

The next meeting of the Portland SAQA Pod will be on Wednesday, September 16, 10 AM, at a new location, Cedar Hills Crossing Mall, 3205 SW Cedar Hills Blvd, Beaverton.  Powell’s Bookstore is located there.  We will be in Community Room #32, use the entrance between Starbucks and Simply Mac.  You can also go thru Powell’s and walk north to the room.  Working in small groups, we will be critiquing quilts so please bring anything you’d like including works in progress.  Please review our Critique Guidelines established by Sherrie Moomey and her committee.  These guidelines can be found in Files our our Yahoo website.
