"New Dimensions - Into the Future", Call to Artists

New Dimensions - Into the Future
Call to Artists

SAQA Oregon Region invites entries for a one day 3-D art exhibition to accompany the SAQA Oregon Regional Conference: “New Dimensions – Into the Future” to be held at the Willamette Heritage Center in Salem, Oregon on Thursday September 22, 2016, from 9.30 am. to 4.30 pm.

This is an opportunity to share innovative experimentation in 3-D art which is usually not accepted at art calls.  The work will be shown in display cases and on tables between the lunch room and activity areas of the conference. We will accept 3-D fiber-based artwork with a maximum size of 12” wide by 12” deep by 18” high, with a limit of one entry per person. No hanging pieces will be accepted.

This show is open to all Oregon SAQA members whether they attend the conference or not, and will not be juried. We will accept all entries that we can fit into the area available for the exhibition. Please deliver all artwork to the Willamette Heritage Center when you arrive at the conference and pick it up at the end of the conference. Please arrive at least 1/2 hour early, allowing time to set up the artwork prior to the beginning of the conference. No shipping. You are responsible for delivery and pick-up. If you do not plan to attend the conference, please arrange for a conference participant to deliver and collect your artwork.

How to apply: Artists interested in participating must submit two digital images of their piece, one full and one detail. Images must be in jpeg format with 1800 pixels on the longest side. Please include also artist's name and contact information, title of piece and dimensions of piece.
