News from Karen Miller


Karen Miller has been invited to exhibit this winter at the quilt museum in Paducah, an exhibit with the theme of Rivers. Her salmon quilt, Heading Home, will be part of the exhibit.
She has also been asked to exhibit in Westchester County NY at the Osilas Gallery at Concordia College, Bronxville, New York. The show, Sew New: Contemporary Quilt Artists, will run from November 4 - December 11, 2010, with an opening and curator's talk on November 4th. They hope to add other related events as the show gets fleshed out. This group show will include 25 - 30 works.

Karen is also scheduled for a solo show at the Latimer museum next spring. Details will be posted as they develop.

The Quilted Forest at the Oregon State Fair, Salem

Ila McCallum will have a piece in a special exhibit, The Quilted Forest, at the Oregon State Fair in Salem August 27 - September 6, 2010.  Visitors will be able to walk through a forest of quilted trees.  The show is sponsored by Greenbaum’s Quilted Forest in Salem. FOOD, FIELD AND FIBER

Five Oregon SAQA members will have work in the exhibit "Food, Field and Fiber" at Lane Community College in Eugene. The exhibit will run from September 20th through January 10th, 2011, in the David Joyce Gallery on the LCC campus.

Included in the exhibit will be pieces by Catherine Beard, Georgia French, Wendy Huhn, Laura Jaszkowski, and Nancy Kibbey. Pictured is "EAT" by Wendy Huhn.
