ENTRY DETAILS - Blending Poetry and Cloth

Regarding any copyright concerns you might have about your poem a good reference guide is at the following link:  http://janefriedman.com/2012/01/23/permissions

Whether your poem is copyrighted or not, the juror will see your poem and your artists statement and will take these references into consideration along with your photos.

Those artists who are juried into the show will be asked to confirm that they have received permission for copyrighted material. If permission has not been secured, we will not be printing your poems or quotations in the gallery cards or in the brochure. Instead, we will list the title and author of the poem (quotation, song)  and ask you do describe how the poem (quote, song) influenced your work.

Any works that published before 1923 are in the public domain. Be sure to take a quick look at the link above to gain a better understanding of copyright limitations. Many artists have chosen to write their own poem in part to avoid copyright issues.
